Your scuba diving experience in Cancun begins at 10.00 AM with a simple and engaging theory session, where your instructor will guide you through the essentials—how scuba equipment works, basic safety rules, how to equalize your ears, and underwater communication signals.

Next, you’ll move to the swimming pool to practice your first breaths and key skills in a calm and controlled environment. This step is essential to help you feel comfortable, relaxed, and fully confident before heading into the ocean.

Once you’re ready, the real adventure begins. You’ll board the boat and head out to two incredible dive sites in the Caribbean.

Your first dive takes place at the iconic MUSA Underwater Museum, a one-of-a-kind location featuring over 500 submerged sculptures that have created a unique and thriving marine ecosystem.

Your second dive will be on a natural coral reef, where you’ll swim among colorful tropical fish, explore coral formations, and, if you’re lucky, spot stingrays or even sea turtles.

Each dive reaches a maximum depth of 10 meters (30 feet) and lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes, making it the perfect introduction for beginner divers.

By the end of the day, you’ll return to the marina with unforgettable memories and the incredible feeling of having discovered a whole new world beneath the surface. For many, this is just the beginning of a lifelong passion for scuba diving.

Our private Discover Scuba Diving experience in Cancun is designed for those who prefer extra attention, a slower pace, and maximum comfort in the water. With a dedicated professional instructor just for you (or your group), you’ll receive step-by-step guidance tailored to your needs.

You’ll begin with a relaxed pool session to build confidence and master the basics before heading out for your ocean dives. This personalized approach allows you to progress at your own pace, ask questions freely, and truly enjoy every moment of your experience.

Here’s everything you need to know before your scuba diving experience in Cancun.

Departure location: Aquafun Marina, Blvd. Kukulcán Km 16, Cancun Hotel Zone.

Price: 2,800 MXN pesos per person (approximately 145 USD). This is an all-inclusive experience with no hidden fees.

Duration: From 10:00 AM to approximately 3:30 / 4:00 PM, with a total duration of around 5 to 6 hours.

What’s included: Theory class and pool training session, two ocean dives (MUSA Underwater Museum and reef), full scuba equipment and wetsuit, marine park fee, professional instructor, and drinking water on board.

Requirements: No prior diving experience is required. Minimum age is 10 years old.

Medical information: All participants must complete a medical questionnaire prior to diving. Certain conditions such as asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart conditions may require medical clearance. For safety reasons, pregnant women are not allowed to participate.

We offer two schedules for the Discover Scuba Diving program: 
– 7:30 am – return between  1:30 PM and 2:00 PM
-10.00 am – return between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM

  • 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Theory class and pool training to learn and practice diving techniques.
  • 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Departure from the marina and navigation to MUSA (Underwater Museum of Art).
  • 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: First dive at MUSA.
  • 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Second dive along the reef
  • 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Return to the marina.
  • 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM  Theory class and pool training to learn and practice diving techniques.
  • 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM Departure from the marina and navigation to MUSA (Underwater Museum of Art).
  • 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM: First dive at MUSA.
  • 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Second dive along the reef
  • 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Return to the marina.
